NORTH POLE — Summer may be sizzling in the human world, but Santa’s elves are working overtime to deliver a toy designed to keep things cool — in every sense of the word.
Introducing “Flip-Flop Snowballs™”, the newest sensation from the North Pole’s Toy Innovation Lab. These soft, squishy snowballs don’t melt, don’t stain, and — most impressively — change color when tossed, bounced, or caught. And yes, they’re completely indoor-friendly.
“We wanted to bring a bit of winter wonder to the warm months,” said lead designer Snazzle McGlisten, a third-generation snow engineer. “Flip-Flop Snowballs™ let kids have safe snowball fights all year long — even in sandals!”
❄️ HOW IT WORKS
The toy is made of charm-charged ChillFoam™, a new material that absorbs kinetic energy and turns it into color shifts and gentle sparkles. When thrown, the ball glows a cool blue; when caught, it shifts to a sunny yellow. If left untouched for more than 60 seconds, it softly pulses purple — inviting players to toss it again.
Each snowball comes in a pack of three and is enchanted with Anti-Thunk™ cushioning, so even the most spirited toss won’t knock over a glass of eggnog or grandma’s lamp.
🧪 TESTED BY THE BEST
Before hitting the toy line, Flip-Flop Snowballs™ underwent a rigorous summer testing gauntlet hosted by the Reindeer Games Department. In one test, two dozen elves engaged in a 3-minute snowball skirmish inside the Cocoa Rec Hall — not a single cocoa mug was spilled.
“It’s the safest chaos we’ve ever seen,” said Test Elf Coordinator Ziggy Sprankleton, wiping a fleck of marshmallow foam off his goggles. “10/10 on bounce. 11/10 on belly laughs.”
🎁 PACKAGING & AVAILABILITY
Each Flip-Flop Snowballs™ set comes in a recyclable, igloo-inspired carrying case and includes an optional Snowball Showdown Rulebook for imaginative play.
Official Workshop Distribution begins June 25. Early recipients include children on the Extra-Early Nice List and select partners in the Toy Trend Pilot Program.
“These snowballs are a gift that bridges seasons,” said Mrs. Claus. “Fun doesn’t need to melt with the snow.”
