As the sun lingers longer in the sky and children everywhere dive into the adventures of summer, Santa’s Behavioral Observation Network (SBON) is glowing with joy—not just from the sunlight, but from a heartwarming spike in kind and thoughtful deeds reported across the globe.
From helping hands to heartfelt hugs, June has already delivered a sleigh-load of moments worthy of North Pole praise. Below are just a few of this month’s standout good deeds—direct from the elves on patrol—along with some cheerful commentary from our favorite watchers on the shelves.
🧹 Backyard Clean-Up Surprise – Texas, USA
When 9-year-old Layla Ramirez noticed her dad struggling to mow around the yard toys, she sprang into action. Not only did she tidy the lawn before he returned from work, but she also set up a water station with lemonade.
🧝♀️ Scout Elf Pepper Nibblestitch reports:
“I had to triple-check my sparkle lens—Layla did all of this unprompted. Her dad’s eyes got misty when he saw it. That’s what we call a Grade-A glitter moment!”
📚 Neighborhood Book Club Organizer – Dorset, UK
Twelve-year-old Theo Green decided that summer was the perfect time to keep the magic of stories alive. He created a mini lending library out of a recycled dollhouse and even included book reviews written by other kids in the neighborhood.
🧝 Scout Elf Marzipan Twinklewick adds:
“Theo not only sparked reading enthusiasm—he sparked community. This tiny library is a huge deal. I had to notify the Kindness Council for extra commendation!”
🐾 Pet Rescue Effort – Ontario, Canada
After spotting a kitten stuck in a storm drain, 7-year-old Maya Li quickly alerted her parents and stayed with the frightened furball until help arrived. She then baked “thank-you cookies” for the animal shelter team.
🧝♂️ Scout Elf Figgy McJingleson reports:
“Maya is a calm, caring hero. She named the kitten Marshmallow and visits the shelter weekly. There’s talk of a future honorary elf title!”
🍪 Cookie Stand for a Cause – Sydney, Australia
Rather than selling cookies for profit, 10-year-old Lucas Morgan set up a stand to raise money for a friend’s medical expenses. He ended up donating $312 in a single afternoon—plus leftover cookies to the neighborhood fire station.
🧝♀️ Scout Elf Taffeta Snowglimmer beams:
“This stand had it all—love, compassion, and excellent snickerdoodles. Lucas is the embodiment of ‘nice with extra spice.’”
🎨 Chalk Messages of Hope – Seattle, USA
During a stretch of gloomy weather, 8-year-old Amira Thompson left rainbow chalk art and uplifting messages like “You are loved!” and “Today is a fresh start!” all along her block’s sidewalk.
🧝 Scout Elf Benny Frostbuttons says:
“One neighbor said she smiled for the first time all week. Amira turned pavement into poetry. Her sparkle rating shot through the roof!”
🎅 A MESSAGE FROM THE BIG GUY
“Let the record show: June is positively twinkling with good deeds. To every child who chose kindness, shared a toy, comforted a friend, or thought of others first—you are what makes the world merry. Keep it up, champions of cheer!”
As we roll toward July, the elves continue watching closely—and joyfully—collecting moments of goodness big and small. Every kind word, generous action, or helping hand brings us all closer to that shining spot on the Nice List.
Stay kind. Stay brave. Stay beautifully you.
