According to the latest Glimmer Gauge, the look of the season is “merry, melty, and magnificently over-accessorized.”

The Peppermint Patio Set

The front-runner this year is the Peppermint Patio Set: cropped candy-stripe jackets, lightweight snow-linen trousers, and sandals with tiny sleigh-bell ankle charms.

“July dressing is about airflow and flair,” said Paisley Peppermintloop of the Gift-Wrap Guild. “If your outfit cannot survive a cocoa spill and a conga line, it is merely decorative.”

Trend Tip: One statement stripe is chic. Three statement stripes is traffic control.

Mrs. Claus Goes Citrus-Claus

Mrs. Claus is expected to arrive in a lemon-holly wrap dress with pearlized gumdrop buttons, paired with her famous white gloves in summer-weight whim-wool. Fashion observers are calling the shade Mistletoe Marmalade, and yes, it is already sold out at Sugarplum Atelier.

The dress has become the week’s most whispered-about piece: a sunny wrap silhouette with holly-green edging, a neckline cut for cocoa-stand diplomacy, and buttons so glossy that three apprentices at Frostbite Atelier reportedly tried to classify them as confectionery.
